Who We Are
We've been providing the best contract cataloguing to the law community since 1985. For the past three years, we've been chosen to catalog electronic resources for an informal consortium of law schools that is growing every day.
Our clients include publishers large and small. Our MARC catalog records support the work of LexisNexis, Thomson West, McGraw-Hill, W.S. Hein and Wolters Kluwer to name a few.
Cassidy Cataloguing professional staff have taught at three New York area library and information science schools, and have lectured extensively on the successful application of national bibliographic standards for the private and special library setting.
The People Behind the Business

Joni Cassidy, President
Michael Cassidy, Vice President, Chief Financial Officer
Joni and Michael Cassidy co-manage Cassidy Cataloguing. She's our Rainmaker and the Catalogue Librarian who designs and oversees the cataloging projects. He's the Computer Guy who keeps the staff online, tends to the web-hosted OPACs, designs the data-manipulation and cleanup projects, and battles hackers everyday. Together they juggle finances in and out, personnel management, and client satisfaction.
In their spare time they hang out with company mascot Darla Jane, a beautiful Bernese Mountain Dog, and sometimes they even get to eat out!

Natalie Bejarano, Director of Client Services & Marketing
After writing my first book at three years old (on the controversial topic of a singing bowl of cereal) I knew that I had to work with books or libraries in some capacity. I found myself at Cassidy Cataloguing Services in September 2006 and have been here ever since. The position I currently hold, Director of Client Services and Marketing, is quite diverse and grants me the opportunity to find creative ways to streamline processes and also combines my love of books and learning with my other love, technology. Working at Cassidy Cataloguing has given me a real opportunity to be involved with a business model that relies on its customers' opinions and feedback to frame future projects. It has also opened a door to a side of information science that I likely would have never realized existed!

Roberta Bertrand, Senior Catalogue Librarian/Digital Law Library Specialist
When I was growing up the books I enjoyed most were those about Oz and other fantasy worlds, and those featuring Perry Mason and Louis Nizer. So I happily went to Cornell Law School since, at the time, I hadnt heard of Hogwarts. After receiving my J.D. I became an associate and subsequently a partner practicing commercial litigation at a large New York City firm. Motherhood came next, combined with a new career in a firm providing consulting and grant writing for not-for-profit organizations. My growing interest in information technologies led me to the Palmer School of Library and Information Science at L.I.U., where I had the great fortune to be taught by Professor Joni Cassidy. I received my M.S. in Library Science in 2006. I have been with Cassidy Cataloguing since 2005, where I currently focus on law-related projects including CassidyCat's Digital Law Library and Hein's World Trials Library. I really enjoy working here; with all the wonderful characters and intriguing adventures, it's a little like being in Oz!

Qing Fan, Catalogue Librarian
Qing Fan recently joined the cataloguing staff in early 2008. She earned her MLIS degree from Nanjing University in China and cataloged at Anhui University Library for ten years before immigrating to the United States.
Qing is a wonderful addition to our professional staff. She catalogs in our main office and works onsite in client branches.
