Since 2010, our Shelf-Ready Services Department has been an extra set of hands in your technical services department.
Have your print materials sent directly to us and we will handle expert cataloging, processing, labeling, and then shipping back to you - ready to be placed on the shelf.
Retrospective Conversion Projects
Retrospective conversion is the process of transforming an existing non-machine-readable catalog of records into a machine-readable one.
We convert card catalogs into full MARC21 RDA format records to be loaded into your library's ILS. This process allows your records to be searched via keywords, subject headings, title, author, series and many other fields.
Non-MARC to MARC Conversion Projects
If your library is moving into a MARC21 environment for the first time or inherit a list of records which are in a spreadsheet, in Dublin Core, or any other format, we can convert to full MARC21 for easy loading.
Cataloging Projects
We can catalog any materials which are part of a donation, a backlog, non-English language, non-print, electronic resource, CD, DVD, or any other format.
Additionally if you had received perhaps free records from a vendor which are missing subjects, authors, or other fields to help discoverability - we can add those as well.
